Based on our results, we can straight away notice many things. The green percentages are the highest scoring answers, the blue are the average, and red did not receive many answers, or had rather low percentages. Firstly, we see that the male demographic is much more dominant, meaning our film should not only include males, but should maybe be aimed towards males in order to expand our target audience. The age group of 15-24 were the most common age group of people who filled out our questionnaire, meaning our film should be aimed primarily towards that age group, however this does not mean that the other age groups involved will be neglected as there are elements involved that the older demographic may enjoy. We asked what the preferred way of watching a movie is, and the answer we received is that most people illegally download their movies, however the next biggest answer was Netflix. As a result of this, we should broadcast our movie onto Netflix to expand the recognition of our movie and also to generate the most revenue as many people will come across our movie and watch it. Bearing in mind illegal downloading the movies was the second most popular answer, but we cannot do anything about that because the amount of people who illegally download movies is overwhelming and cannot be stopped in this recent day and age, therefore we have to hope that people will not illegally download our movie. The majority of people said their influence on watching movies was primarily through family and friends, this would mean that we would have to advertise our movie massively on social media to get the word out there that our film will be coming out soon. This ensures that lots of people hear about it and therefore will talk about it. We can create movie trailers to release on YouTube, and based on the most popular age demographic, we can use other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to get recognition for our movie. Question number five gave us the answer that the most popular genre of film was social realism, therefore we created our film to look and feel as if the character can be empathised with, while maintaining the image that this could happen in everyday life. This is to ensure that we were as close as possible to making it believable that it is a man living his life as normal. It was perfect that social realism was the most popular answer in the survey as this allowed us to have pressure lifted off of us as we knew that as long as our film came out looking professional, that people would enjoy it as it fell under the most popular genre of movies.
