FILM NAME IDEAS

Cogito Ergo Sum

This is the name that we decided on. We decided that this title represented the content and themes of our film the best and therefore decided to use it. The phrase is the Latin translation of Descartes’ famous philosophical proposition “je pense, donc je suis,” or “I think, therefore I am.” We considered using the English version of the phrase, but decided that it is too bloated compared to the more succinct Latin version.

The Boy and The Man

Both of these titles imply a mystery and relatability that is representative of the film. The first title was the first to be considered, however it was discarded due to an implication of young age that is unwanted. The second title offers similar implications to the first, but also somewhat implies an older age. Therefore, we found both of these titles to be lacklustre for the film.
